La Chocolatrice: Architecting a Unified Organic & Paid Acquisition Engine
- Technical SEO Architecture
- Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Paid & Organic Ecosystems
- Digital Infrastructure Rebuild
The Brief
La Chocolatrice, a boutique artisanal chocolate and experiential workshop brand, was bottlenecked by technical legacy debt inherited from a previous agency. Their digital presence was fragmented, suffering from poor search visibility and inefficient conversion pathways. The objective was to take total ownership of the brand’s digital infrastructure, completely overhauling the technical SEO, user experience (UX/CRO), and social acquisition strategies to build a scalable, high-margin revenue engine.
The Implementation
Rather than treating SEO, organic social, and paid media as isolated silos, I engineered a unified ecosystem where every touchpoint was structurally aligned to drive and capture intent. Over an 18-month period, I executed a rigorous 90-point on-site optimisation protocol.
1. Technical Search Architecture (Structural SEO) The site required a foundational rebuild to capture high-intent search traffic. I restructured the entire site hierarchy, systematically rewriting all core product and workshop pages to align with consumer search intent.
The Fix: Eradicated 404 errors, instituted proper canonical tagging, overhauled internal linking pathways, and deployed strict H1/H2 structured data architectures. Irrelevant pages were pruned to consolidate domain authority and tighten the site's commercial focus.
2. Frictionless Conversion Pathways (CRO) Driving traffic is only valuable if the site is built to capture it. I conducted a comprehensive conversion rate optimisation (CRO) audit across the domain.
The Fix: Streamlined the workshop booking flows to minimise the steps to purchase. I implemented A/B testing for CTA placements and content blocks on the homepage, replacing low-quality, legacy assets with highly compressed, brand-aligned visual creatives.
3. The Organic-to-Paid Ecosystem To reduce reliance on paid acquisition, the organic social presence was repositioned as a primary top-of-funnel driver. By aligning brand storytelling with targeted Meta ad frameworks, the social presence scaled massively, growing the audience from 11k to 67k followers.

Strategic Implications
This project proves that sustainable e-commerce growth requires more than surface-level marketing tactics; it requires robust digital infrastructure. By systematically resolving technical SEO debt, removing friction from the conversion journey, and uniting social content with commercial intent, we fundamentally transformed the brand's baseline profitability. It stands as a definitive blueprint for how holistic site architecture drives scalable, long-term commercial success.
